Carl Leivers

Carl graduated magna cum laude from the Colorado College in 2003 and is currently working as a teaching assistant in the sociology department.

During his time at CC, Carl served as both cross-country and track captain. His senior thesis in sociology examined the ways in which members of the CC cross-country team use running as a site for constructing their identity.

Carl also served as co-director (with Marcus Kret) on the short form documentary “Baseball’s Hidden Half” which chronicled Branch Rickey’s efforts to sign Jackie Robinson and integrate baseball. The Society of American Baseball Research awarded the film the Lee Allen Award for excellence in student research.
